My name is Phylicia and I am an artist based in Malaysia.
Art and animals have always been great passions of mine ever since I can remember. However, it was only while in my mid to late thirties that I was able to be more purposeful in dedicating time to creating and developing my art.
I love the incredible feeling of being able to create realism (with a slight painterly feel) in my artwork. It never fails to amaze me to see it all come together with each layer and mark laid down onto the canvas.
I currently work mainly with soft pastels and pastel pencils, with a little bit of graphite drawings here and there.
My passion is to try and capture a pet, animal, or person's character, and all the little details that make each subject unique in my artwork.Please enjoy looking at some of the artwork that I have poured much time and love into below.
